A DOG'S LOVE

|
What can be deeper than a dog's love?
There are no human words to tell.
They look at us with admiration
Even when we act so humanly stupid,
They lick our hands and feet
The very ones we use to kick them,
They trust us with their lives
Even when ourselves we doubt,
No matter what the danger is
They never think about their safety.
Rest assure, my human friend
They are not doing all of this
Because they are dumb or stupid. No!
The answer lies in their deep love,
A love that answers all questions,
And represents the reason of their existence.
We are maybe able to step on the Moon,
To reach another world, another star,
But we'll never be able to match
Or deserve their wonderful love...
We have a quality though. We are lucky!
They are smart enough not to ask for this.
