The map on the right illustrates the cities and places I visited in the summer of 2002.
Day1 - Athens / Nafplion
Drive along the coast from Athens, crossing the Corinth Canal to visit Mycenae and Epidaurus. Continue to Napflion and sleep overnight.
Day2 - Olympia
Drive through the centre of Peloponnese region via Tripoli and Megalopolis to Olympia. Visit the ruins of Zeus' Sanctuary, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the original Olympic Satadium and the archaeological museum.
Day3 - Delphi
From Olympia drive to Patras and cross by ferry to Delphi.Visit the Castalia Spring and the Sanctuary of Athena. Sleep overnight in Delphi.
Day4 - Delphi / Calambaka
Visit the Sanctuary of Apollo and Delphi Museum. Depart for Kalambaka, passing through the picturesque towns and villages of central Greece. Sleep overnight in Kalambaka.
Day5 - Meteora / Athens
Visit the monasteries at Meteora. Return to Athens via Thermopylae. Short stop to visit Leonida's monument.
